DSM agrees to buy China vitamin C producer Aland

DSM says that it has reached an agreement to acquire Aland HK Holding (Hong Kong), a company producing vitamin C in Mainland China. DSM announced in April that it was in exclusive discussions to acquire Aland. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the next six to nine months, subject to customary conditions, DSM says. Aland, which was founded in 1990, has a production facility at Jingjiang, China.
