DIC buys Hitachi Chemical out of polyester resins JV

DIC (Tokyo) and Hitachi Chemical (Tokyo) say that DIC will acquire Hitachi’s 50% stake in the companies’ DH Material (Tokyo) joint venture and that DH Material will become a wholly owned subsidiary of DIC, effective 1 October. DH Material was established in 2005 to handle the two companies’ unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins manufacturing, sales, and R&D activities in Japan.
