Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Court Lifts Ban on Map Ta Phut Projects7:14 AM MDT | September 10, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Thailand’s Central Administrative Court (Bangkok) has lifted a ban on 74 of 76 suspended projects at the Map Ta Phut industrial estate in Thailand, reports say. Map Ta Phut is home to most of Thailand’s chemical industry. The court had ordered the suspension of the projects in September 2009 for non-compliance with environmental and health regulations, following protest campaigns by local residents and environmental groups over alleged pollution from plants at the site.
