Asian Companies Report Improved Results

Several major chemical companies have reported improved financial results in the quarter ended March 31, 2011, mainly as a result of increasing demand and healthier global economic conditions. Ambani: Emerging markets led to recovery. Liebelt: Expansion projects moving ahead. Reliance Industries says that net profits for its fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 increased 14% compared with the same period of the previous year, to about Rs53.7 billion ($1.2 billion).
