Asahi Kasei Chemicals (AKC), an Asahi Kasei subsidiary, says it will construct a world-scale plant for the production of acrylonitrile at Ulsan, Korea. Construction of the plant, which will have a production capacity of 245,000 m.t./year, is expected to begin in May 2011. The plant is expected to be online in January 2013.
