Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Arch Buys Koppers out of Australian JV11:13 AM MDT | August 7, 2007 | Deepti Ramesh Arch Chemicals says it has bought the 51% it did not already own in the Koppers-Arch joint venture (KAJV; Sydney) from its partner, Koppers Holdings (Pittsburgh) for $19 million. The deal comprised a cash payment of $15.4 million and transfer of 51% of the jv’s $7-million net debt. KAJV makes and sells wood preservative products for the wood processing and forestry industries in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the Pacific Islands, and recorded sales of $54.1 million in 2006.
