Altana Acquires in China

Altana (Wesel, Germany) says its Elantas electrical insulation division has signed an agreement with Changzhou Lantian Ruiqi Chemical Co. (Changzhou, China) to acquire Changzhou Lantian Ruiqi’s tris-2-hydroxyethyl isocyanurate business. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Elantas, under the deal, will take over production facilities at Changzhou, technology and employees. The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2012.
