AkzoNobel Forms Titanium Dioxide Joint Venture in China

AkzoNobel says it has entered into a partnership with Quangxi Cava Titanium Industry Co. for the production and supply in China of titanium dioxide (TiO2) as an important raw material in the production of paints and coatings. The joint venture with Quangxi Cava Titanium will involve the construction of a TiO2 production plant at Qinzhou. Financial details of the jv were not disclosed.
