Chemical Week Magazine :: Basic Chemicals & Plastics Victrex Invests in New Capacity, Products6:13 AM MDT | October 10, 2007 | Kerri Walsh Victrex has opened a GBP32-million ($65.3-million) polyether ether ketone (PEEK) plant at Thorton Cleveleys, U.K. The plant has capacity to produce 1,450 m.t./year of PEEK, and raises the company’s total capacity to 4,250 m.t./year. Victrex says it plans to open two production lines at Thorton Cleveleys, which will double capacity at its melt filtration unit to 3,600 m.t./year.
