US PVC export prices trend upward

With the construction season in the United States underway, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producers have announced a 2-ct/lb June or July increase for domestic contracts, but buyers say there is no clear cost basis given the difficulty of raising prices on downstream products such as pipe, a recent report from IHS Chemical says.
