U.S. Butadiene Market Evens Out with March Settlement

Limited supply and strong demand pushed North American butadiene contracts over the $1/lb level for the month of March, to $1.04/lb, market sources say. The settlement represents a 6% increase over February contract levels. February contracts had risen by 5 cts/lb and 8 cts/lb, following a split settlement that boosted the majority of contracts to 99 cts/lb and a few to 97 cts/lb.
