U.S. Butadiene Contracts Decrease for October

North American butadiene contracts for the month of October have settled at a decrease of 6 cts/lb, to 86 cst/lb amid a lengthening market, sources say. The latest settlement represents a 6.5% decrease from September and is the lowest contract price since April. October contracts were nominated at a 6-cts/lb decrease by Shell Chemical and TPC Group; a 3-cts/lb decrease, to 89 cts/lb, by ExxonMobil Chemical; and a rollover at 92 cts/lb by LyondellBasell.
