Tronox Announces Price Increase

Tronox says it increased the price for all grades of titanium dioxide (TiO2) in North America by 15 cts/lb, effective November 1, or as contracts allow. These increases are in addition to those previously announced, Tronox says. Other North American TiO2 producers have yet to announce increases. Prodcuers cite escalating raw material costs for titanium ore, high operating rates, and tight supply as the reason behind the price push.
