Chemical Week Magazine :: Basic Chemicals & Plastics TiO2 Producers Set to Raise Prices, Again12:05 PM MDT | August 29, 2011 | —LINDSEY BEWLEY North American titanium dioxide (TiO2) producers have nominated another round of price increases after hiking second-quarter prices by 15 cts/lb, or 10%. Four of the five major U.S. producers—Cristal Global, DuPont, Kronos and Tronox—have each stepped out with a 10 cts/lb hike effective August 15, but it is not likely to be implemented until November 15 due to the standard 90-day price protection, sources say.
