Shenhua Opens PP Plant

Shenhua Coal Baotou Coal Chemicals (Shenhua; Beijing) has started up a 300,000 m.t./year polypropylene (PP) plant at Inner Mongolia, China. The plant is based on Dow Chemical’s Unipol PP technology and is the first plant in China to manufacture PP made from coal-generated olefins.
