Chemical Week Magazine :: Basic Chemicals & Plastics Perstorp Renews Plasticizer Unit10:47 AM MDT | April 15, 2011 Perstorp (Perstorp, Sweden) says it will continue with its previously delayed plans to build a valeraldehyde plant at its Stenungsund, Sweden facility. The company announced in 2007 plans build a plant to produce valeraldehyde and its derivatives 2-propylheptanol alcohol (2-PH), valeric acid, and a new plasticizer, di-propyl-heptyl-phthalate (DPHP) with startup expected for 2011. Plans were delayed due to the economic downturn, but the plant is now expected to come onstream in 2014. The site will have the capacity to produce about 150,000 m.t./year of DPHP, 2-PH...
