Perstorp Renews Plasticizer Unit

Perstorp (Perstorp, Sweden) says it will continue with its previously delayed plans to build a valeraldehyde plant at its Stenungsund, Sweden facility. The company announced in 2007 plans build a plant to produce valeraldehyde and its derivatives 2-propylheptanol alcohol (2-PH), valeric acid, and a new plasticizer, di-propyl-heptyl-phthalate (DPHP) with startup expected for 2011.
