PE prices up in Europe, impact of import-duty hike unclear

Contract and spot polyethylene (PE) prices have been increasing in the European market in recent weeks. Spot PE has been €1,300–1,380/m.t. ($1,771–1,880) del northwest Europe with high-density PE (HDPE) at the lower end of the range and low-density PE (LDPE) at the higher end, according to IHS Chemical.
