PE Producers Delay Increase

Polyethylene (PE) producers have delayed increases of 5 cts-7 cts/lb that were originally set to take effect on April 1, to May 1, due to lukewarm demand, market players say. Producers had originally sought a 7-cts/lb increase for all grades of PE, but cut the increase for all PE to 5 cts/lb, except for hexane- and octene-based linear low-density PE.
