Nylon-6 prices falling in Asia, rising in North America

Nylon demand should pick up seasonally in Asia, says IHS Chemical’s Market Advisory Service: Global Nylon Fibers & Feedstocks. However, feedstock costs are forecast to fall, and nylon-6 chip prices are expected to follow. High textile filament inventory and a steady flow of new nylon textile capacity starting from February will weaken prices in the textile market.
