Massive p-xylene expansions underway in South Korea

A wave of new para -xylene ( p -xylene) capacity, aimed at supplying feedstock to Chinese producers of purified terephthalic acid (PTA), is surging into South Korea. Demand is not growing as quickly, however, and plants coming to the Mideast and Southeast Asia will compound the problem.
