Kuraray to Expand in Texas

Kuraray says its subsidiary Eval Co. of America (Houston) has started up a 12,000-m.t./year expansion of its ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) resin plant at Pasadena, TX, and will add another 12,000 m.t./year of capacity next year, in anticipation of a surge in demand. The plant has current capacity of 35,000 m.t./year, making it the largest in the world, Kuraray says.
