Koppers to Close Plant

Koppers (Pittsburgh), a maker of coal tar-based products, says it will close its wood treating facility at Grenada, MS by July 31. The plant produces utility poles and had net sales of about $30 million in 2011. The cost to close the Grenada facility is estimated at less than $4 million, of which $1.4 million has been previously accrued.
