Chemical Week Magazine :: Basic Chemicals & Plastics Ineos Grangemouth, U.K. Site Faces Strike9:35 AM MDT | April 28, 2008 | Rebecca Coons Ineos says it has been informed by the Unite (London) trade union that up to 1,200 of the union’s members at Ineos’s Grangemouth, U.K. refining and petrochemical site intend to strike April 27-29. The union says it objects to pension plan changes proposed by Ineos that would require employees to start contributing to their pensions and would close the company’s salary pension scheme to new employees. Ineos says the changes are necessary to ensure that the site is competitive long term. Ineos started shutting down the Grangemouth complex...
