Georgia Gulf Restructures Amid Weak Vinyls Demand

Georgia Gulf says it will shut two Canadian plants as part of a consolidation of assets acquired from its $1.54-billion purchase of Royal Group Technologies last year. The company’s Woodbridge, ON patio door fabrication facility will close by early 2008, and production will be shifted to a Montreal, PQ plant.
