Flint Hills Acquires Huntsman Plant

Flint Hills Resources (Witchita, KS), a subsidiary of Koch Industries, says it has closed its $415-million acquisition of both Huntsman’s base chemical business and Port Arthur, TX olefins facility including associated pipelines. The acquisition was announced in February, pending the successful restart of the Port Arthur plant, which was damaged by a fire in April 2006 (CW, Aug. 23, 2006, p. 5).
