Ethylene demand soft in North America

ethylene spot prices have fallen steadily in North America since September, and they may fall through December if demand continues to soften. The trend reflects year-end destocking, an annual practice driven by tax considerations—but other issues have also played a role, say analysts at IHS Chemical.
