Dow Conducts TDI Plant Turnaround

Dow Polyurethanes says it began an 18-day scheduled maintenance turnaround at its Freeport, TX toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant on November 9. The turnaround includes equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements. Separately, the company says it is conducting a joint feasibility study with BASF for a 300,000-m.t./year TDI plant at one of their integrated sites in Europe.
