Celanese announced last November that it plans to build one or two industrial ethanol complexes in China, and a smaller unit at its Clear Lake, TX site. The plants at Nanjing and Zhuhai will each have an initial capacity of 400,000 m.t./year and will involve an investment of $300 million each.
