Chemical Week Magazine :: Basic Chemicals & Plastics BorsodChem exits PVC Processing10:03 AM MDT | September 9, 2011 BorsodChem (Kazincbarcika, Hungary) says it has decided to close the company’s polyvinyl chloride (PVC) processing business, Ablakprofil, with the loss of 82 jobs. Ablakprofil, which has accumulated losses of about $12 million over the last seven years, does not fit with the rest of BorsodChem’s portfolio, the company says. BorsodChem’s main products are methylene di- para -phenylene isocyanate and toluene diisocyanate. The company also has a PVC resin business, which is up for sale.
