BHP Taps SNC-Lavalin for Potash Projects

SNC-Lavalin says it has been contracted by BHP Billiton (Melbourne) to build a project hub, manage feasibility studies, and perform engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services for BHP’s Saskatchewan potash projects. The contract includes a Jansen, SK greenfield plant that, if approved, will mark BHP’s entry into the potash market and be the province’s first new potash mine in forty years.
