After a year of surprises, US benzene ready for a quiet summer

Benzene prices in the United States took an extended detour from normality during the last 10 months, but they may have gotten back on track for the summer driving season. With the turnaround season over for benzene, prices are likely to follow the trend typical for this time of year, firming through August and falling off toward December, IHS Chemical says.
