Chemical Week Magazine :: Basic Chemicals & Plastics Activities resume at Sabic’s Geleen site after strike8:42 AM MST | February 8, 2013 | —Francinia Protti-Alvarez A strike at Sabic Europe’s site at Geleen, in the province of Limburg, in the Netherlands, concluded on 5 February when 1,800 employees resumed their regular tasks after 5 days of industrial action launched by the trade unions. Sabic announced the resumption of activity at its site through a statement to the Saudi stock exchange on 5 February. “Due to the limited magnitude of the industrial action taken and Sabic’s fulfilment of its customers’ commitments through its inventories, there has been barely any material business impact,” the statement says...
