Stable ethylene, lower feedstock prices boost margins in Europe

Ethylene contract prices have been stable in Europe over the last couple of months. July settled at €1,170/m.t. ($1,500/m.t.), a rollover on June, and the June contract was just €5/m.t. higher than that of May. Planned outages and technical issues at various European steam crackers have resulted in a reduction of output at those plants.
