Canadian sodium chlorate suppliers increase share of North American market

Buyers and sellers of sodium chlorate in North America are likely to reach an agreement on quarterly and half-yearly contracts in early July, according to IHS Chemical. Suppliers appear to have set their sights on stable or slightly higher values, while customers want price relief, states the latest Market Advisory Service: Global Bleaching Chemicals report, published by IHS Chemical on 18 June. IHS Chemical puts the current market price for sodium chlorate (crystal) at $630–680/short ton, free delivered, or C$705–750/m.t. fob. Demand has been stable...
