Invista says it plans to upgrade its three Texas chemical plants located at LaPorte, Orange, and Victoria. The company produces a variety of specialty intermediates at its Victoria and Orange facilities, while the LaPorte plant has the capacity to produce about 240 million lbs/year of BDO; 190 million lbs/year of tetrahydrofuran (THF); and about 90 million lbs/year of polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG).
