Stocks listed in the CW75 Index rose 1.7% for the week ending October 9 on news that third-quarter chemical industry earnings, excluding fertilizer companies, will likely increase 1%-2%, according to a report by Bank of America (BOA: New York). The CW75 was in line with broader indexes. Earnings including fertilizer companies will increase about 20%, however, the report says.
