cw75 stock performance

The CW75 Index fell 2% for the week ending August 1, narrower than the 3.4% swoon for the broader S&P 500 index down. Basic chemical makers in the CW75 fell 2.3%, diversified chemical makers dropped 2.2%, and specialty chemicals shed 1%. Shares of 17 companies in CW75 gained for the week, 57 declined, and one company, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, was unchanged. The Cabots staked out the opposite ends of the leaders and laggards board.
