The CW 75 Index rose 1% for the week ending April 6, slightly lagging broader market indexes including the Morgan Stanley global composite and the Standard and Poor’s 500, which each rose 1.4%. Basic chemical stocks increased 1.5%, diversified chemical shares rose 1.8%, and specialty chemical stocks were up 2%. Sixty-one companies rose, three were flat, and eleven fell.
