CW75 Stock Performance

The CW75 Index rose 1.6% for the week ending September 25, despite news that U.S. consumer confidence fell to nearly a two-year low, and worsening news in the U.S. housing market. Basic chemical shares rose 4.5%, helped by falling crude-oil futures. Diversified chemical stocks rose about 1%, and specialty chemical shares increased 1.9%. Fertilizer firms were among the leaders.
