CW75 Stock Performance

The CW 75 index increased 1.4% for the week ended 8 January, lagging the MSCI World and the S&P 500 indexes, which rose 0.7% and 1%, respectively. Basic chemical shares rose 0.9%, diversified shares increased 2%, and specialty stocks were about flat. Wacker Chemie and Albany Molecular topped the leaders’ list, up 19.1% and 8.3%, respectively. Compass Minerals and Huntsman Corp. topped the laggards’ list for the week, down 3.7% and 3.6%, respectively. Analysts at Wells Fargo recently cut Huntsman shares from outperform to market perform.
