CW75 Stock Performance

The CW 75 Index rose 1.3% for the week ended March 8, outpacing broader markets including the Morgan Stanley global composite and the Standard & Poor’s 500, which were flat. The stock market started the week down because of rising oil prices, but rebounded when oil prices began to stabilize. Financial stocks led gains in the U.S., and telecommunication stocks drove increases in Europe. Basic chemical shares rose 2.3%; diversified chemical stocks, 2.7%; and specialty chemical stocks, 1%.
