CW75 Stock Performance

The CW 75 Index was flat for the week ended July 20 in anticipation of second-quarter earnings releases. The stock market fell early in the week on lackluster U.S. housing data, but rebounded some in anticipation of the U.S. Federal Reserve chairman’s biannual “state of the economy” speech. Basic chemical shares fell less than 1%, diversified chemical stocks declined 1.7%, and specialty chemical shares were flat. Sixteen companies rose, six were flat, and 53 decreased.
