CW75 Stock Performance

The CW 75 Index rose 1.1% for the week ended December 15, in line with the Morgan Stanley global composite and the S&P 500 indexes. The stock market fell early in the week on news that credit-ratings firms cut their assessment of Dubai’s government- controlled companies. However, shares rebounded following Abu Dhabi’s decision to bail out Dubai firms. Basic chemical stocks were flat, while diversified and specialty chemical shares rose 2.6% and 1.1%, respectively.
