CW75 Stock Performance

The CW 75 index rose 2.9% for the week ended April 7, lagging the Morgan Stanley global composite which rose 5.3%, and slightly ahead of the S&P 500 index, which gained 2.2%. Basic chemical shares gained 5.8%, diversified shares ascended 6.9%, and specialty stocks lifted 2.6%. Sixty companies posted gains, and 15 reported losses. Georgia Gulf posted the biggest gain at 76.1%, followed by Ferro and Ashland, with gains of 34.3% and 22.5%, respectively.
