CW75 Stock Performance

The CW 75 index dipped 1.7% for the week of February 24, outpacing the Morgan Stanley global composite and the S&P 500 indexes, which dropped 3.6% and 2.0%, respectively. Basic chemical shares slid 1.7%, diversified shared fell 1.9%, and specialty stocks lost 3.9%. Fifteen companies posted gains for the week, fifty-six posted losses and 4 were flat. Nova Chemicals posted the week’s biggest gain by far, 308.3%, on news that IPIC (Abu Dhabi) will purchase Nova for about $2.3 billion, including debt.
