CW75 Stock Performance

The CW75 index dropped 5.2% for the week ending January 13, outpacing the Morgan Stanley global composite and the S&P 500 indexes, which fell 6.3% and 6.7%, respectively. Basic chemical stocks tumbled 8.1%, diversified shares dipped 3.4%, and specialty chemical stocks sank 6.6%. Only six stocks posted gains for the week. Sixty-eight stocks declined, and one was flat. Georgia Gulf posted the biggest gain by far, with a 39.4% jump, as the volatility of the share price continues. Monsanto was a distant second with a 6.6% gain, and Cambrex was third with a 2.7%...
