CW75: Index Drops 1%

The CW75 Index fell about 1% for the week ending January 12, slightly lagging broader market indexes. Basic and specialty chemical stocks were flat, while diversified chemical shares declined 1.3%. Thirty companies listed in the CW75 rose, two were flat, and 43 fell. Methanex topped the leaders’ list as CIBC World Markets upgraded the stock from sector perform, to sector outperform.
