Union refuses Ineos's offer to restart Grangemouth

The Unite Union has refused to accept Ineos’s offer to restart the Grangemouth plant in the UK in exchange for a commitment that there will be no further industrial action this year, Ineos announced today. The union, following a face-to-face meeting with the company this morning, refused the offer. Ineos says it needs the undertaking because it would be hazardous to start up the plant only to have to stop it a few days later in response to further threats of industrial action.   The company will now focus on completing the 60-day consultation period...
