UK government-industry group launches chemical-sector growth strategy

The Chemistry Growth Partnership (CGP), a UK government-chemical industry alliance, held its first meeting today in London. The meeting was attended by UK business secretary Vince Cable and business minister Michael Fallon, as well as senior UK chemical industry executives including Johnson Matthey CEO Neil Carson. Fallon and Carson are co-chairs of CGP. The aim of CGP is to drive forward an industry-led  strategy for the UK chemical sector that was announced in August by the Chemical Industries Association (London).
