Regions :: Western Europe :: U.K. U.K. to Map its Palm Oil Use in Bid to Avoid Deforestation5:04 AM MDT | July 13, 2010 | Alex Scott The U.K. government has announced plans to introduce a “radical research program” to understand how the U.K. uses imported palm oil so that it can take action and halt unsustainable production of the oil in countries including Indonesia and Malaysia. Work on the research project is due to begin next month, with the initial findings set to be announced in early 2011.
